Do you have a second (or third, or fourth, or fifteenth) draft of a screenplay that you want to hear from fade in to fade out? Second Tuesday is an opportunity for writers to have a table read of a feature script. If your script has already been through a script group, and you've got a revision ready for another listen, then sign up for our monthly table reads. Or just come to support your fellow writer - but be prepared to be put to work as an actor and critic. All are welcome to attend as a reader or audience, but you need to have a current SWW membership to have your script read. The writer receives live feedback that night and written script coverage within a few weeks after the reading.
Second Tuesday, as the name suggests, meets the second Tuesday of every month from 7pm to 9pm, September through June. Once (or twice) a year, we read short scripts. Requirements: current members with paid dues only. You will need to bring 12-15 copies of your script. You are welcome to bring in your own actors, if you've got some parts pre-assigned. The readings are held at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, 4th Floor of the Technical Building in Room T-4380. If you need assistance with printing scripts, please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
To sign up for Second Tuesday, send an email to Karen Frank, at frank007 @ umn . edu (copy, paste, and delete the spaces). This program is facilitated by Karen Frank, a graduate of MCTC Cinema Program and an award-winning screenwriter.
