2nd Tuesday
After taking screenplays through a Script Group members can advance to the 2nd Tuesday Readings Series. This program offers:
- A complete read-through of scripts in one session
- A chance to hear the characters voices come alive
- Immediate feedback on the overall concept, construction, characterization, individual scenes, dialogue and more
- Suggestions for improving the next draft of a screenplay
All meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7pm and take place at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, in the Technical Buidling, Rm T-1020 (the Executive Conference Room). A campus map can be found here. Everyone is welcome (writers, actors, friends, students, etcetera).
Featured writers should supply enough copies of their script (typically 8 to 12 copies) to allow each person reading a part to have a script. Multiple parts may be read by one reader provided they won't end up "talking to themselves" in the same scene. While Screenwriters Workshop accepts and encourages scripts on all subjects and in all genres, submissions must be typed in current industry format and no longer than 120 pages.
