GRAVE MATTERS tells the story of Ally Meier, a reluctant volunteer planning the World’s Most Perfect Wedding for her sister, Dani. What Ally doesn’t plan for is their estranged father, Leo, showing up with a loan shark close behind. Leo needs a place to hide and time to finish a job that promises a big payoff. Then Leo’s sister, Lilah, makes him an offer he can’t refuse: if he can get their father’s body moved out of the wrong graveyard and into the right one Lilah will pay off all his debts. Now, Leo isn’t above small time crime, but grave robbery is a felony. Family turmoil has rarely been so hilarious.
Through Script Night, Screenwriters Workshop produces staged readings of select screenplays, performed by professional AGTRA/SAG actors, as a development tool for writers and in appreciation of screenwriting as a literary artform. GRAVE MATTERS is produced by Robb Mitchell and Mark Gallagher. Script Night is sponsored by Fredrikson & Byron, Minnesota Film & TV Board, Screenwriters Workshop and AFTRA/SAG of the Twin Cities.
Join us Saturday, September 27th, for a fun evening you don’t want to miss!
