With my term as Screenwriters Workshop President coming to an end, I would like to take a moment to look back and say some thank you’s. I’m proud of what we have accomplished over the last year: saved Screenwriters Workshop from closing, staged two Script Night Readings, staged the the second ScreenLabs Challenge, staged the annual membership meeting with screenwriter Jeff Forester, created a new identity, revamped the website (and laid the foundation for a bigger website to come), and increased our membership numbers. I believe Screenwriters Workshop is stronger today than it was a year ago.
I know the road hasn’t always been smooth, but we’ve persevered with a desire to nurture screenwriting in Minnesota. I’m grateful to everyone who has helped support Screenwriters Workshop, whether through gifts of time, energy or money.
Thanks to the board of directors for electing me, and everyone who I’ve come into contact with over my year as president. I’ve enjoyed my time on the board and will continue to support Screenwriters Workshop as a member.
