Do you have a second (or third, or fourth, or fifteenth) draft of a screenplay that you want to hear from fade in to fade out? Second Sunday (previously named 2nd Tuesday for several decades) is an opportunity for writers to have a table read of a script. Since its inception, Second Sunday has done over a 200 sessions, reading hundreds of scripts–mainly features (90+ pages), but also shorts and TV scripts.
If your script has been through a script group, and you’ve got a revision ready for another listen, then sign up for our monthly table reads. Or just come to support your fellow writer – but be prepared to work as an actor and critic. All are welcome to attend as a reader or audience, but you need to have a current SWW membership to have your script read and receive live feedback that night.
Second Sunday, as the name suggests, meets the second Sunday of every month from 6:30pm to 9pm, September through May. Once (or twice) a year, we read short scripts. Requirements: current members with paid dues only. You may need to bring 12-15 copies of your script, but if you submit your script to Karen at least one week prior, copies are provided for you (A huge benefit of being a SWW member!). You are welcome to bring in your own actors for pre-assigned roles. The readings are held at FilmNorth.

To view upcoming and past Second Sunday scripts, visit our Facebook Events page (you don’t need to be a Facebook member to view this page).
This program is facilitated by Karen Frank, an award-winning screenwriter. To sign up for Second Sunday, send Karen an e-mail at frank007 @ umn . edu (copy, paste, and delete the spaces).
